Spying Mathematics

Under the title "NSA's Maths Problem", the New York Times publishes a very refreashing article written by a scientist at Standford. It's worth reading.

The article deals with the mathematics' algorithm used by NSA to link phone calls and intelligence on terrorism threats.

Interesting indeed... However, this article speculates on the assumption that the data being collected is constrained to that revealed by USA Today. There are however numerous reasons to think that is only the tip of the iceberg:
