A stupid rhetoric

Here is the letter that was sent to Javier Solana by two Israelian political leaders :
26 October 2006
Council of the European Union
General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union
Secretary General/High Representative
Mr. Javier Solana
Dear Sir:
As you are a representative from Spain, a country responsible for the expulsion of over a quarter of a million Jews from their homes and country in 1492, we demand that you immediately stop pressuring Israel to implement another expulsion of Jews from their homes and communities in the Land of Israel.
Please leave Israel, return to your own EU business and minority problems and stop interfering with the internal affairs of the State of Israel.
We, the Jewish people, plan on remaining here, in our historic homeland, safely and securely, forever.
Sincerely,
Noam Arnon David Wilder The Committee of The Jewish Community of Hebron ''

This is how I would have answered:
Dear Mister Arnon and Wilder,
You could have mentioned that my country was also responsible for the expulsion of a whole bunch of muslims the exact same year, when Ferdinand II completed the Reconquista and made sure the last moor army left Grenade in 1492. Wouldn't it make our country the fairest one to judge on a conflict opposing muslims to jews?
This would be, however, relying on a stupid rhetoric that makes assumptions based on what happened more than 500 years ago. Actually, let us follow your logical way of thinking for a minute. Why not going back earlier in the past?
Thousand of protestants were killed in Paris in 1571 during the Saint Barthelemy, that should be a reason to cancel any relationship between France and Germany! The First crusade launched in 1095 was a war on Turkish armies, so European Union should probably never think of integrating Turkey into Europe!
Let's be even more radical.
The roman Empire invaded France in the first century before Christ. I am now asking for French clubs to stop competiting against Italian ones in Champion's League.
Check out this one : Eve ate the apple and because of her we all have been sent out of Eden. How come men dare still talking to women?

Thank you for this enlightening philosophy Mr Wilder and Arnon. A whole new way to consider the world. Very progressive.
